Dr. Penelope De Lacavalerie

MBBS FRACS CSSANZ | Colorectal and General Surgeon

I am a Sydney-based Colorectal Surgeon utilising advanced surgical techniques for conditions of the bowel. I specialise in surgical intervention for colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, bowel endometriosis, diverticular disease, and other benign anorectal conditions. I performs endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), hernia and gallbladder operations. 

I began my surgical training in London and continued it in Australia completing my General Surgery fellowship on the Prince of Wales Hospital Network. 

This was followed by a Colorectal Surgery fellowship accredited by the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).  

I am recognised for my research as a recipient of grants and scholarships. I was awarded the prestigious NHMRC Clinical Postgraduate Scholarship for my PhD studies at The Garvan Institute of Medical Research on ‘The Impact of the Mutated Colorectal Cancer Defect on Treatment Responsiveness in Rectal Cancer‘. 

My main research interest is currently in the diagnosis, screening and treatment of HPV related anal dysplasia and anal cancer in high risk populations.

Dr Andrew Lin

BMed/MD FRACG

Dr Lin graduated from the University of NSW and completed hospital training at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He attained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and works in Randwick. Dr Lin works part-time as a surgical assistant and enjoys collaborating in a harmonious expert team with a culture of respect and patient-centred care.

Dr Anna Pedersen

 

Dr Anna Pedersen is an Australian trained Specialist Anaesthetist. She graduated from Imperial College, London. After commencing anaesthetic training in London for 2 years she moved to Australia and continued her anaesthetic training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney for 5 years. She is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
